What is substance abuse prevention?
Prevention helps reduce substance misuse, abuse, and addiction. By using evidence-based information, reducing risk factors, and increasing protective factors, parents, educators, youth, and community members can help create a thriving Norwood.
Everyone has a role to play in prevention.
No matter your role, YOU can help. Local problems require local solutions. Using the 12 community sectors from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), we can engage ALL community members in every role.
